You’ll gain the language, practices, and developmental alignment to teach real yoga to children with integrity and emotional fluency. This training begins by defining what it means to be grounded — present, regulated, and rooted in your own experience — then teaches you how to guide children through the same process using breath, movement, and guided rest. No prior experience is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior yoga or teaching experience to start Step 1?

No prior experience is required. Step 1 is the foundation of the Grounded Kids Yoga certification and begins at the beginning — you'll learn the full methodology, our 84 kid-friendly poses, and how child development maps to the chakra system. Classroom teachers, therapists, parents, and current yoga teachers are all welcome.

Is Step 1 offered online or in person?

Both. You can join live on Zoom with a cohort or attend in person at our Alpharetta, GA studio. Online participants have their materials mailed to them, so you're fully equipped either way.

How long is Step 1 and when does it meet?

Step 1 is 22 training hours held over a single weekend — Friday evening through Sunday late afternoon. You'll find current dates in the registration section below.

Do I have to take the four Steps in order?

Step 1 is the recommended starting point because it lays the foundation for everything that follows, but the four Steps don't have to be taken in strict order — you can start where your schedule allows. Register for each Step individually, or bundle all four upfront to save $300.

What are your payment and refund policies?

Monthly payment plans are available at checkout. Registrations are fully refundable within 3 days of purchase (minus credit card fees); after 3 days you'll receive a credit good toward any training for two years.
