Kids Yoga Teacher Training, Certification & Continuing Ed. For Teachers & Health Care Professionals
Grounded Kids Yoga is the most comprehensive and emotionally fluent kids’ yoga teacher training available. Our certification equips educators, therapists, parents, and yoga teachers with everything needed (rich resources, trauma-informed curriculum, and practical teaching tools) to confidently teach real yoga and mindfulness to children and teens. Our 95-hour children’s yoga training is approved by Yoga Alliance to count toward your RCYT (Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher) designation, and includes trauma-sensitive design, classroom integration, and inclusive strategies for all learners. We also partner with Courses4Teachers / University of the Pacific so you can receive graduate credit or salary advancement after completing your training. We welcome anyone with an interest in teaching children and do not require any yoga or teaching prerequisites.
Why choose Grounded Kids?
If you are an RYT or RCYT seeking top notch continuing education, you’ve come to the right place.
We welcome both adult yoga teachers interested in adding children’s yoga to their repertoire and those who already teach kids’ yoga ready to expand their knowledge with our our unique approach.

Read below for the requirements set forth by Yoga Alliance. Since the pandemic, they have approved all online courses to count as contact hours. Every three years starting from your initial date of registration, each RYT and E-RYT must complete and log a minimum of:
- 45 hours teaching yoga, and
- 30 hours of yoga related training that is directly related to one of our Educational Categories.
- Teaching or training hours prior to registration do not count as Continuing Education. If you earn more than the required hours in a three-year period, the extra hours may not rollover into the next three-year period. Continuing Education hours should be spent learning something new, through research, study or experiential learning, rather than synthesizing or processing prior knowledge.
