Step 2: Teaching Ages 3–6, Teens, and Neurodiverse Learners (2/2026)

This 22-hour training can be taken as a standalone course or used as the second step toward full Grounded Kids Yoga certification.
What You’ll Learn:
- The specifics and potential outcomes of teaching yoga to kids ages 3–6.
- Lesson planning, songs, games, and storytelling that encourage kids of all ages and abilities in seriously playful ways.
- Mindfulness and meditation practices for younger children.
- Grounded Kids approach for working with children who have special needs.
- Explore the definition of special needs and appropriate yoga lesson plans for children with Sensory Processing Disorders, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, and others.
- How, what, where, and why to implement teen-centric themes and practices.
- Create a big impact with mini yoga flows.
- Practical teaching experience with these populations.
- An overview of entrainment and sound therapy to complement and enhance your work as a teacher.
- Advice regarding the inception and logistics of teaching classes in yoga studios, preschools, special needs facilities, high schools, and sports teams.
- Physical, mental, social, and emotional child development as applied to the practice of yoga.
Training Schedule:
- Friday, February 20: 6:00–9:00 PM
- Saturday, February 21: 9:30 AM–6:30 PM
- Sunday, February 22: 9:30 AM–6:30 PM
