Graduate Credit for Kids Yoga Teacher Training
Each of the four Steps of our certification, and our Yoga in Schools K-12 course, converts into graduate level semester credit through Courses4Teachers and University of the Pacific, Benerd College. Whether it counts toward a pay raise or renewing your credential depends on your district and state, so check before you register.
Can I get credit for a Grounded Kids training?
Yes. Grounded Kids is a listed educational partner of Courses4Teachers, which awards graduate level professional development credit through University of the Pacific. You take the training with us then register for the credit with them afterwards.
Courses4Teachers offers this credit to teachers and educators. If you are not sure whether you qualify, check with them before you register. You do not need any yoga background to take the training itself.

How many credits is each training worth?
Each Step counts on its own. You do not have to finish all four before you can claim credit.
| Training | Graduate credits |
|---|---|
| Step 1 Get Grounded in Children’s Yoga | 2 |
| Step 2 Pre-Grounded ages 3 to 6, Teens and Special Needs Populations | 2 |
| Step 3 Elevate Your Teaching Skills | 2 |
| Step 4 Energetic Anatomy, Trauma Training and Yoga in Schools | 2 |
| Grounded Kids Yoga in Schools K-12 | 1 |
All four Steps together come to eight graduate credits.
What does it cost?
Graduate credit is optional and is paid to Courses4Teachers, on top of your training tuition. Each Step counts as 30 hours of professional development and earns 2 units. Those 30 hours are the live training plus the at-home study and practice teaching each Step requires. Credit costs $99 per unit, so one Step is $198 and all four Steps together are $792. Registration is open year round. Your official transcript is ordered separately through Parchment and has its own fee.
Will it raise my salary?
That depends on where you teach. Many districts pay more as teachers earn credits beyond their degree. Districts differ on how many credits count and which providers they accept, so check your own district’s salary schedule before you register. In Georgia public schools, pay is set by certificate level and only a completed advanced degree moves it, so these credits do not change pay on the Georgia salary schedule. Some districts will reimburse the cost of the credit.
Do these credits count toward a Master’s degree?
No. They are graduate level professional development semester credits that Courses4Teachers designs for salary advancement and credential renewal. They do not apply toward a Master’s or any higher degree at University of the Pacific.
How long do I have to register?
Your Grounded Kids Certificate of Completion is valid for twelve months. Register with Courses4Teachers inside that year.
