Biography

Danielle has seen the benefits that her yoga practice has had on her own life as an adult, and her only regret is not starting this practice much sooner!  As an elementary school teacher and a mom, Danielle is very familiar with the daily academic and social stress that our children face.  She therefore believes that emotional resilience is created by grounding children and helping them to connect and move with their breath.  Danielle is particularly interested in helping children with ADHD, anxiety, and depression.  All of her private classes are tailored to meet individual goals.  Danielle is also available to lead camps, birthday parties, and girl scout meetings, as well as for teaching yoga in schools.  “We can do hard things,” is a mantra that Danielle and her own children live by.  Danielle invites you to elevate and find your warrior strength both on and off of the mat!

Abby Lauderman

Elevating Grounder
Biography

I attended my first yoga class by accident 14 years ago.  A Freshman at Auburn University, I worked part time at our local gym answering the phones.    The manager asked for help in the group fitness room… and then I realized I was being tricked to stay for the class.  Good thing, because I immediately fell in love with yoga and was hooked for life!

My senior year was spent studying abroad in Rome, Italy, where my personal daily yoga practice quickly turned into a group affair.  I studied International Human Sciences that year abroad and my thesis was on cultural differences and nutrition.  After months of writing about differences in our world, it dawned on me that yoga is the one thing that can go any place, any time, has no age barrier or even language barrier!

As a mom, I see the magic that happens in my own children through yoga and love sharing that with others.  Classes are always open, judgement free, and in a positive environment where children feel safe to be themselves.

A big thank you to the Grounded founders for creating the opportunity, support, and encouragement to combine my love for children along with my passion for yoga!
