Can SEL training benefit educators outside of the classroom setting?
Yes! When asked “how will I know that this is working?” my answer is “When you notice your life and your relationship to yourself and others are better”
Is SEL training only relevant for certain age groups of students?
No, we offer grade appropriate training for teachers of Pre-K through High School, including non traditional classrooms such as Montessori, Waldorf, The Forest School, and Quacker School.
What are the examples of SEL strategies that educators can use in the classroom?
In our trainings, you will learn how to:
- conduct a Tune In at the beginning of the day and leave your students feeling confident and calm at the end of the day.
- lead 5 different styles of guided visualizations.
- guide your students through a variety of breathing exercises for specific outcomes.
How can SEL training help educators support the emotional well-being of their students?
- Developing awareness of their own emotions and learning how to regulate them. This allows them to model healthy emotional expression and support students who are struggling with this.
- Learning effective communication skills, including non-violent communication such as active listening and empathetic responding.
- Understanding how to teach problem-solving and self-regulation in ways that are developmentally appropriate.
